Tamora Pierce Challenge Center: Lady Mage’s March Challenge (Queen Dove)

Hello all! Here at TPCC, I've decided we will have a different challenge from me each month. This month, I'd like to see something based on possible future of Dove (from the Trickster books) having to marry someone.

Requirements:

1) The main charachter must be either Dove or the man she will have to marry.

2) The story must focus on possible marriage/courtship for Dove and perhaps eventual marriage. The author may choose how exactly they may like to approach the matter, but it must have a romantic theme involving Dove.

3) As always, the rating is not to exceed 'M'

4) Please for the sake of all of us make the story over 1000 words. Also, for the sake of us who would like to finish reading it before we are old and grey, try to stay away from a plot over 100,000 words. Something tells me that most of you won't have trouble with that particular requirement however.
